Whispers in the Wind
I sit here this sunny morning.
The dew is fresh on the flowers. Squirrels play in the trees. The songs of birds
fill the air. The sky is a deep rich blue. The trees shout in the reds and golds of
autumn.
In the wonder of this God filled day, my heart is filled with an ache. I ponder the reason for this.
Friends I love are filled with disease. My country is bickering over war, the economy, ideals and
who’s to blame. My family lives scattered across several states. I feel…alone…drained…tired…longing.
So in the beauty of this day, I wonder “Why?”
In the song of the birds He speaks, in the color
of the trees He shouts, in the blue of the sky He whispers…everywhere His voice is heard.
Gently He
whispers: “I breathed into you and gave you life. Each life is a gift from Me. My
joy is in each day. Live in it. My peace is in every flower and every tree, be refreshed
by it. My blessing is in every ray of sunshine and every drop of rain. You accepted
my Son so His heart and Spirit live within you. You hear my heart in my world and you feel my Spirit in
every pain.
“All creation speaks with the voice of Me, the Creator. Every difficult moment shouts to trust
Me, the Redeemer. I who created life can redeem life. Every broken bone, I can heal.
Every broken heart, I can mend. Every broken home, I can rebuild. Every broken life, I can redeem.
For every death, there can be a resurrection. The mending comes not from the things of my creation,
but from the blood of my Son.
“Trust him, child, he is your wounded brother. Believe in him, he is your pierced Physician.
Walk with him, he is your crushed Guide. Lean on him, He is rejected crutch. He holds your pain
in My heart..
“The depths of my love help you handle the depths of your pain. My grace is more sufficient
than you will ever know. Enjoy the world I created and the life I give. Know that no matter where you go
or what you feel I am there. Rejoice in the day that I have made.”
My hearts says, “Amen! Thank
you, Abba, for your gift.” I sit back; I smile and shout a hearty “Hallelujah!”
