Why become part of the church?
Being a member of a local church is the context from which the New Testament was written. Impact values partnership for the sake of unity, acceptance, and accountability; this is one of the best ways to keep the church Kingdom-minded. Accordingly, we are convinced that every believer should be part of a local church. It’s impossible to love Jesus and not grow in our love of His church.
Even though there are many different church / faith communities, almost all find wisdom in offering their specific body a chance to strongly identify with their unique mission and vision. Usually this opportunity is called membership. However, at Impact, we prefer the term “partnership” to “membership.” Partnership implies moving, joining, locking arms, giving and connecting with something greater than oneself. We believe that in order for the church of Jesus Christ to be the hope of the world once again, we need more partners rather than just members.
Partners are the heartbeat of Impact Church because they are invested. They do what it takes to grow and improve our church, and more importantly the Kingdom. We believe every Jesus-follower should participate in the local church by making Sundays happen and by being the church every day.
How do I partner with Impact?
We have created a three-step process for becoming a partner at Impact.
1) It begins by going through a self-study guide that has information regarding our mission, milestones, beliefs, and core values. This can be obtained in person at the church office during the week or any Sunday at the Welcome Center.
2) As you complete this self-study, you are asked to contact Pastor Randy and schedule your partnership wrap-up meeting.
3) The final step is to be received into the local body of the church at one of our Sunday morning worship celebrations.
