OPPORTUNITIES TO SERVE
Volunteer opportunities to help accomplish our mission and vision:
First Touch – We have one chance to make a first impression and a weekly opportunity to help our guests feel welcome and get connected. This is your opportunity to help others take the next step.
Children’s Ministry – Our children are so special to us and to God that this is one of our highest priorities. This is an opportunity that includes safe, fun childcare all the way through teaching our 5th graders. Must have a heart for children, ability to relate well on their level, and have been attending Impact for at least 6 months. It’s a plus if you have some level of experience with teaching, but it is not required.
Media Team – A team to maintain and operate our sound and visual components. Participation in practices, weekly services, and special events plus some level of technical aptitude required. Training available for committed individuals.
Worship Team – Musical worship unlocks something inside the heart of the worshipper. If you have a musical talent and are willing to use it to serve God, our team would like to hear from you.
Youth Ministry - Our youth are not only the future of the church, but are an integral part of this church now, which is why this is a vital and vibrant part of what we do at Impact. There are many ways you can support this key ministry, whether it be one time or ongoing, and any participation is greatly appreciated.
Missional Community Facilitators / Hosts – Jesus taught us to do life together, and the most effective method of discipleship comes in the form of small groups. Relationally-oriented facilitators and hosts are needed for each group. Facilitators facilitate (not lead) the group process and interactions of group members, including defining the topic so there is a meeting focus. Hosts open their home for the regular meetings and coordinate (not provide) any snacks / food.
Close Encounters - The Impact family desires to bless others, and this takes place in many different ways. The volunteers in this ministry will make regular visits to the hospital and to shut-ins to fellowship with and minister to them. The church family will make visits to nursing homes and assisted living facilities during times when the residents might be feeling especially alone, like Christmas and Easter.
Maintenance Team – This team helps the trustees maintain the facility and grounds by noticing and repairing things that break or wear out and proactively doing upkeep. They also get others involved in larger projects like work days.
Creative Team – If you are a person who can picture things before they exist, someone who is good at building sets, or someone who can make small things that can be given away to reinforce a particular season’s theme, this ministry is for you!
